CLOSINGS & DELAYS: Maryland schools adjust times over wintry weather, road conditions
BALTIMORE -- Several school districts in the Baltimore area will be closed or delayed as winter weather continues to leave its footprints across Maryland.
Delays:
- Baltimore City Public Schools - 2-hour delay for Wednesday, January 17.
- Baltimore County Public Schools - 2-hour delay for Wednesday, January 17.
- Cecil County Public Schools - 2-hour delay for Wednesday, January 17.
- Harford County Public Schools - 2-hour delay for Wednesday, January 17
- Carroll County County Public Schools - 2-hour delay for Wednesday, January 17
Closed:
- Howard County Public Schools - closed for Wednesday, January 17.
There will be no morning Pre-K or before-school childcare on Wednesday morning.
Virtual:
Anne Arundel County Public Schools will have virtual instruction on Wednesday, January 17, with a two-hour early release. Schools will begin instruction at 9 or 9:15 a.m., as listed on schedules that can be found at www.aacps.org/studentschedules.
Colleges:
Coppin State University will have a delayed opening until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17. Essential employees should report to campus at their regular scheduled time.

An ALERT DAY for dangerously cold temperatures and slippery travel with re-freeze continues through Wednesday night. Any uncleared surface will be treacherous to drive on as standing snow and slush turn into solid ice.
